Rare Worldwide Gold and Silver Coins - June 12, 2020

The Sale #86 contains 257 lots of collectible gold and silver coins from PR of China, Finland, Great Britain and Russia of all regimes; most items are properly expertized by NGC, PCGS and others.

The highlights of Chinese items are included:

  • 1979, 30th Anniversary of the People's Republic, 400 yuan, complete set of four proof gold coins;
  • 1980, Winter Olympic Games, 30 yuan, complete set of four proof piedfort silver coins, only 1,000 sets were minted;
  • 1981, Bronze Age Finds, Animals Figurines, 200 yuan-800 yuan, set of four gold proof coins, about 200 sets were produced;
  • 2005, Year of the Rooster, Panda Lunar Prestige set of four bi-metallic coins in proof quality, 1,000 sets were made;

The better Russian Coins are included:

  • 1756, Elizabeth, 2 roubles, uncirculated gold coin with "SPB" at bottom, certified by NGC, AU53, mintage 8,712 coins;
  • 1838 (SPB), Nicholas I, 3 roubles, uncirculated platinum coin, certified by PCGS, AU50;
  • 1894 (AG), Alexander III, 10 roubles, uncirculated gold coin, AU with very close to mint state, rare coin with mintage of 1,007 pieces;
  • Two lots of 1977-80, Moscow Olympic Games, 100 roubles, complete set of six gold proof coins or five platinum proof coins.

This Sale is conducted without printed catalogue.
