150 Cover , Used , veryfine   image1924, British Mandate Palestine, the 1st Postage Due issue - 8m mauve stamp (Bale # D4), affixed to a cover originating from England. The cover was under-franked for double weight postage, bearing only 1 1/2d. stamp. It was postmarked at Donew with a circular date stamp (cds) and an octagonal 'T/35' postmark, indicating an international postage due situation. Upon arrival, a local 'To Pay /8 Mils' postmark was stamped on the front of the cover. And an 8mil 1st postage due stamp was affixed and canceled in Jerusalem, January 1924. 151 Cover , Front Cover , extremelyfine   image1948 An airmail mail cover from South Africa addressed to the Manager of the Anglo Palestine Bank in Tel Aviv. Posted from Witbank on December 17, 1948, it features cachets on the back flip from the "Bank of South Africa." The cover is affixed with 9d. stamps canceled in Witbank on December 17, 1948, with a black octagonal handstamp indicating a postage due of 60c, located alongside the South African stamps. Opposite, on the other edge of the cover, there are two Israel postage due overprinted stamps (10mil and 50mil) affixed and canceled in Tel Aviv. The cover is hand-signed on the back by Y. Tsachor. 152 Cover , veryfine   image1949, A commercial registered cover, properly stamped with 40 mils, dispatched between branches of the Bank Anglo Palestine Co. from Safad to Haifa. The cover features a horizontal pair of 20 mil stamps canceled with a Safad postmark dated April 8th, 1949. It includes a registration label on the front and bank tape sealing the back flip of the cover. Both departure and arrival postmarks are present on the back(Image 1)

153 Cover , Front Cover , Used , veryfine   imageDoar Ivri as postage due cover.   This cover features a piece of postal history showcasing a 15mil Doar Ivri stamp (Scott #3) cancelled with a Haifa May 31st, 1948 circular date stamp (cds). Affixed to the cover is a 20mil Doar Ivri stamp, utilized as postage due. Additionally, a Box cachet indicating "to pay 20mils" is present. The tabbed 20mil Doar Ivri stamp is used to cover the deficiency, taxed at double the deficiency rate (2 x 10p). It bears two "T" handstamps and is cancelled with the same Haifa May 31st, 1948 cds.(Image 1)

154 Cover , Used , veryfine   image1948 Israel Interim period, a cover bears 10mil JNF overprinted stamps. These stamps were canceled in Haifa on May 16th using a circular date stamp. Additionally, it is marked in red pencil with "to pay 'T'," indicating insufficient postage. The cover was then sent to Nahariya, where a 10mil emergency local stamp was affixed to cover the deficiency in postage. The stamp is cataloged as Bale #120 with a value of $450.(Image 1)
