The sale starts with meaty US collections and accumulations. The first lot is a collector made collection offered intact, suggested bid of $22,000.00, followed by several dozen more, all the way down to a cute precancel lot filling a carton,
suggested bid of $50.00. The Canada and provincials lots are also very desirable with suggested bids ranging from $7,000.00 down to $100.00.
The large offering of covers includes a U.S. WWII patriotic lot and a lot with 1,700 Collin’s first days. A U.S. and worldwide mixture put together over many years by a stamp dealer who threw any cover that looked interesting into a box and told us
not to take anything out so he could get his “bonus” in one lump sum. The singles and sets section contain material of various conditions with wide ranging price points to appeal to all levels of dealers and collectors.
Again, the US leads the way, but Canada and Italian Areas are strongest in the worldwide with highlights in Australia, France, Germany, Poland and Russia.
