2461 C Papua 1942 WWII regd OAS air cover to Australia, with 3 x Australia GVI 3d, canc 1 fine & 2 good strikes of "FIELD POST OFFICE 020" cds 23 JY 42. Also on front, boxed unit regn h/s & A.M.F. censor No. 2717 h/s (both violet). B/s further fine strike of same cds, good FPO O140 cds same day, & 2 receipt cds. Used at Murray Barracks (April 1942-Aug 1943) & 4-Mile Camp (May 1942-cJan 1943) respectively, both near Port Moresby. Proud states latter use "not seen". Good cond.

2462 C Papua 1942 WWII OAS air cover to Australia with Australia 2d GVI & 2 x ½d Kangaroo, canc good complete "FIELD POST OFFICE 068" cds 9 DE 42. AU 3 stamps have "VG" (Victoria Govt) perfins (most unusual on OAS mail). Also with light strike of boxed AMF censor h/s (No. unclear) & censor's signature. Cds used at Milne Bay, Aug-Dec 1942. Good-fine cond.
