1022 O/og/nh   imageCollection of mint and used Canada, 1852-1998, with a high degree of completion from 1908 onwards, in black mounts in a Darnell album. The collection features a #4d used, a nice run of the 1859 ‘First Cents’ issue used, Large Queens, Small Queens, Queen Victoria ‘Numerals’ set, some Jubilees (1c-50c mix of mint and used, plus a $2 purple used), quite well-filled from 1908-on, including a Québec Tercentenary complete in mint (7c, 10c no gum), a basic mint Admiral set (excepting #108 3c brown). Stamps are a mix of mint and used with mint from 1967-on and from then appears NH, with many items of interest including #525pi 6c Xmas block (c.v. $300), #1407ai (c.v. $125), O9-O262 $1 Destroyer (c.v. $150), 13 Canada Habitat Conservation stamps (federal, and Québec) and more. 1025 O/og/nh   image1859-2009, collection of mint and used stamps and souvenir sheets, with thousands of items in clear mounts and hinged in two Dominion (CWS) binders, the first binder with mostly used classics with good catalogue value, including several Decimal issues (Sc. #14, 15, 18, etc.), followed by Large Queens (x7, we note two 15c with original gum), then a complete basic set of Small Queens to the 50c Widow Weeds, very few gaps from thereon, noting mint stamps (fine 5c, 10c and 20c Québec Tercentenary; #139 and 140 Admiral Provisionals) and so on through the George V and George VI issues, are about half mint and used from 1950 onwards, with more mint than used from the 1970s onwards, with the carefully counted mint totaling $489 face value, the second with blank pages from 2000 to 2011, a great way to start a Canadian collection, or a good source of inventory for dealers or postage users, overall fine or better. The collection also includes several hundred mint never hinged plate blocks, ranging from the 1950s to the 1980s (we estimate $100 to $150 of face value), along with primarily used accumulations from the 1960s onward. Includes ½c black (x3, 1 on thin paper), 1c brown red (x10, one on thin paper), 1c yellow orange (x3, one a deep orange), 2c green (x6, with two thin paper), 3c red (x7, two on thin paper), 5c olive (x2, one a deep olive green), 6c dark brown (x8, one yellow brown, one thick soft paper an one thin paper), 12½c blue (x5, including a milky blue and a thin paper), plus 18 15c grey violet with various shades and 33 grey with various shades. The four covers include a 1c and 2c to Newport NS; a 3c from Halifax, NS, Nov.18.1869 to New Glasgow, NS; a 6c brown on a Jan.4.1869 cover from Richmond Hill, C.W. to Yorkshire Village in New York; and a 12½c blue on a Jan.29.1869 mourning cover via packet from Sherbrooke, C.E. to Perthshire, Scotland. This group requires further study and is unchecked by us for watermarks and Duckworth paper types, typical small imperfections and perf flaws, an overall fine group, ideal for the specialist.
