Picture of the airplane in flight. This is an original post card. On the reverse, the manuscript message “What do you think of this air ship “ and is addressed to South Wales (England) but has no stamp so it was probably sent in an envelope. The pilot was John A.D. McCurdy; second card old photographs of the Silver Dart and on the reverse an ink cachet “Canada Airmail. Postmarked “Baddeck, N.S. 23.FEB.1934” and signed on reverse by pilot John A.D. McCurdy (1886-1961); third real photo card with caption "Frank Coffyn’s Aeroplane – the first to fly in Winnipeg". Shows an original photograph of the plane on the ground (Lyall Commercial Photo Co. Winnipeg, Manitoba). On the reverse a manuscript message dated August 30th 1911 and a Winnipeg August 31, 1911 postmark. Frank Coffyn, an American barnstromer, appeared in Winnipeg with his Wright biplane for an exhibition from July 15 to 20th, 1911. He carried the first air passenger in Western Canada. A very fine group.
