1950 O Great Britain imageGreat Britain Large Used Stock in 35 Plastic Boxes and 3 Stockbooks, from the Penny Black to year 2007, mostly sorted in glassines. Most Scott numbers are represented; duplication varies but runs into hundreds for many stamps. Stamps sorted by reign fill six boxes, whereas the Machins fill twelve of the boxes as well as the three stockbooks. One of these boxes is full of Machins selected for their legible dated cancels. Other boxes are full with regional, Christmas, QE II pre-decimal, Wildings, Castles and Millenium issues. A box of back-of-the-book issues includes stamps for Offices Abroad in addition to the semi-postals, officials, postage dues etc. A great lot for the specialist and for cancel interest, overall fine to very fine.

1951 O Great Britain imageGreat Britain Collection of Mostly Used Issues to About 1940, on Simplex Album pages consisting of over 250 stamps beginning with #1 on piece with red Maltese cross and 3 ample margins (one is just touching at bottom left), followed by #11, 39, 44, 45 (pl 6 & 9), 57 (pl 2), 62 (pl 17 & 18), 66 (pl 1, 2, &3), 70 (pl 18), 96, 102, 103 and more high value issues including several Seahorses. As well there are 64 examples of #33 in plate number order. Also includes a few back of the book issues such as offices abroad and officials. 1962 O/og/nh Great Britain imageGreat Britain Mint and Used Collection and Accumulation in Four Like-new Lighthouse Hingeless Albums and Five Quality Stockbooks, also including two new Lighthouse binders with slipcases. The collection in the four hingeless albums is almost completely mint (mostly never hinged) from 1952 on. The collection starts with George V 1924 British Empire Exhibition issue and includes a £1 stamp of the 1929 Postal Congress issue Scott #209 (CV $675, faults). The George VI definitives are represented with corner blocks of 6 with control numbers. The Elizabeth II collection goes to 1990 and is mostly complete from 1970 on, except for the Machins. Some commemorative blocks and Machin blocks with varieties are housed in the last album. The accumulation is mostly used and housed in five stockbooks. It starts with a Penny Black (faults) and a group of Two Pence Blue; it includes more than 5 pages of unplated Penny Reds, lots of each value of the Victoria Jubilee and Edward VII issues, also 9 pages of Seahorses unidentified as to printers and lots of the Castles and commemorative issues to about 1985. A stockbook holding a small selection of mint never hinged Elizabethan stamps and blocks completes this large lot. Inspect. Faults on earlier material, otherwise very fine. 1964 O/og/nh Great Britain imageGreat Britain Mint and Used Collection with Accumulation, 1840 to 1992, housed in one album and 6 stockbooks. The collection is neatly displayed in mounts on quadrille pages, and appears nearly complete from 1840 to 1978, including some covers and many blocks with the more recent issues. We noted better items such as a cover franked by a Penny Black (14 November 1840), one cover franked with imperforate Penny Red (13 March 1841), many early used stamps from the Queen Victoria and Edward VII era, including a 10 shilling Seahorse (corner crease). The stock consists of several thousand used stamps some on paper, from the late 1970s to 1992 with duplication up to 30 of each. Also included is an advanced Edward VIII mint and used collection in one springback album consisting of singles, blocks and covers (including Agencies issues). Clean lot, overall very fine.
