1712 O   imageLarge Carton Filled with Tens of Thousands of Used Stamps, mostly up to the 1970s, consisting mostly of unsorted stamps on paper. Based on a cursory look, we noted many thousands of King George V and VI, for example, many with interesting postmarks. Unchecked by us for better value stamps or postmarks (we did however note many town cancels, rollers, etc), so a close inspection could easily yield some surprises. Ideal lot for the collector looking for a sorting project. Photo just show a small glimpse of the lot.

1715 O/nh   imageAdvanced Collection of Mint and Used in Five Thick Hingeless Albums, 1976-2009, very close to complete in period, and the majority of the stamps are displayed as a mint never hinged on top (in hingeless sleeves) and a used underneath, so two collections in one. Includes all the souvenir sheets, se-tenant blocks, sets, some complete booklets, some varieties, etc. We counted the face value of all mint stamps above 10c to just under $1,400 (detailed spreadsheet included). A very clean collection throughout.

Nearly complete from 1927 onwards with some earlier used such as #15 (Beaver), SQs, Jubilees (low values), Edwards and Admirals. We noted some back of the book such as postage dues, airmails and special delivery. Also includes a few hundred used stamps on stock pages, over 200 first day covers with the majority between 1976 and 1998, including some high value definitives and about 40 FDCs prior to 1971, 16 thematic collections (mostly sealed from the 1990s), over $160 in postage, and thousands of stamps on and off paper from Canada and worldwide.

1720 O/og/nh   imageMint and Used Collection from QV through QEII, filling a banker’s box with a shoe box of thousands of mostly used stamps plus a 16 page stockbook with hundreds of mint and used stamps, including “Back of the Book” issues as well as a 16 page stock book with MNH blocks, pairs and singles of #51-54, #96 (many have been stuck on paper), E7 & E9, MR1, 86b, and sheets of #246-48 plus several hundred stamps in small boxes similar to bundleware. Also included is a multi-ring binder of 1960s and 70s MNH blocks of 4, a large envelope with 1950s MNH plate blocks and singles and 3 manila stock pages of KGV definitives, and another envelope with 28 used #15 (one with minor “log in waterfall” variety), a small booklet by Colin Bayley entitled “‘Notes on the Small Queens Issues of Canada” with some better early SQ issues (including a pale milky rose lilac 10c with clipped perfs) and some Bill Stamps. 1721 O/og/nh   imageConsignment Remainder Lot, starts off with a collection of mint never hinged blocks and plate blocks from 1939 to 1992, we noted some better ones such as a plate block #334 (Textile industry), corner block #411 ($1 Canadian Exports), several plate blocks of the Landscape issues, including high values (face value over $750), a thick sheet file filled with complete and part mint never hinged sheets from 1947 to 1976 (over $175 in face value), one stockbook partially filled with precancelled stamps from King Edward VII to the Floral Definitives issue, several hundreds of town postmarks sorted alphabetically up to the letter "G", 3 metal stamp replicas of #103 (Québec), #204 (Royal William) and #282 (Newfoundland), philatelic supplies such as 46 packs of black mounts (mostly sealed), several Canada Post thematic collections and souvenir items. Nice clean lot.

Mostly mint from 1967 up to 2008. We noted many souvenir sheets and the back of the book is well represented by mostly used postage dues, special delivery, airmails, and officials. Includes a nice group of mint and used Admirals with coils, pairs imperforate between and precancels. The lot ranges from Scott #15 to 550 and also include airmail, officials and postage due.
