723 ng 82 image1898 2c vermilion King Edward VII, a full sheet of 100, unused (no gum), with full selvedge all around (no plate inscription) and overall fine centering. There is overall soiling, apparent both on the front and back of the sheet, probably from poor storage, and the sheet has been folded in half horizontally, resulting in it being separated in two, only still holding on by the left selvedge piece. The block shows several overprint setting varieties, which we list here by position on the block: row 1: C3, b, C3, d, j; row 2: h, b, h, C3, b; row 3: C3, b, C3, C3, f; row 4: C3, h, b, h, b and row 5: C3, b, C3, C3, f. Small stains on backs of two stamps stamps (4-5 and 5-5). Boxed "Kessler" (Newfoundland airmail expert) handstamp on position 5-5, unidentified expert signature (in pencil) on position 1-1, and all four corner stamps have "ORIOL" handstamps.
