1601 image3rd issue 1862 - 1864, 9 Kr brown Mi 34, two beautiful collection pages featuring one mint * stamp, five used stamps, used vertical pair on a piece, and two postal items. All items on the pages have full margins, with many beautiful cancellations, including both types. Both covers are single frankings: one from Esfeld to Garbsen in 1863 and the other from Griesheim to Pest in 1865. Both have fully margined stamps and proper cancellations on the back. (Image)

1603 image4th issue 1865, 1/4 Sgr black Mi 35, two stamps on a cover from Vieselbach to Weimar in 1867, reduced postage rate for under 3 miles! Stamps cancelled with Vieselbach ring number cancellation 249, single-circle Vieselbach postmark on the cover, partial arrival postmark on the back. Front side of the cover bears the note: "Received from Vieselbach in a dirty condition." Both stamps have the typical uneven but intact perforation, the right-hand stamp showing a slight perforation shift. A rare and visually striking item despite being dirty! Certificate: Sommer (1984). One single stamp with a corner defect, otherwise fine quality with the typical uneven perforation. Both types included. One postal item sent from Frankfurt to Coeln in 1866, with a Coblenz-Coeln railway postmark on the back. The other is a registered postal stationery envelope with an additional stamp, sent from Frankfurt to Vienna, featuring a red "Chargé" boxed marking. Both covers have appropriate backstamps. (Image)

1618 image5th issue 1866, 2 Sgr blue Mi 49, a RARE postal item sent from Weimar to Cassel in 1867. The stamp cancelled with unclear Weimar ring number cancellation 251, with a single-ring Weimar postmark on the cover, a Cassel arrival postmark, and a D1 17/5 marking on the back. Vertical fold in the center of the cover, the stamp with a beautiful, typically uneven perforation. Signed: Sommer BPP. (Image)

1619 image5th issue 1866, 3 Sgr brown Mi 50, a magnificent collection page featuring a very fine mint ** block of four, three beautifully cancelled single stamps (one with a sheet margin below), and a single-franking cover sent from Bremen to Würzburg in 1867. The stamp on the cover is cancelled with Bremen ring number cancellation 301, and the cover bears a large single-ring Bremen Th & Tx postmark, with a Würzburg arrival mark on the back. The cover shows signs of aging. All stamps on the collection page are intact, with the characteristic uneven perforation. (Image)
