5716 OGO   JAPAN HOARD, A well-organized and assembled over decades by missionaries, most numbered using the Scott system. It includes four three-ring binders containing well-packed manila stock pages starting with #58 and extending well into the 3,000s. A quick inspection of the first binder shows a couple of #86 and 422, parks from 280-308, and plenty more to search through. A separate volume contains used semi-postals, air mail, prefectures, some revenue and so forth. A sixth notebook contains all mint issues, also arranged on manila pages starting with #218. You'll find #422, 473 (x3), the 473a block, plus semi-postals, air mails, prefectures, a few souvenir sheets, plus a smattering of Ryukyus. Also in this volume are many full sheets issued from the late 1950s into the mid-1960s. Wrapping up the lot is a helpful monograph on early Japanese postmarks and post offices.
