It was taken by hand to Paraná and dispatched there by mail, where it received the marks "ADMINISTRACION GENERAL DE CORREOS DEL PARANA" in oval and "FRANCA" in double ogive, both in black (GJ.PAR 5A and PAR 6), perfectly applied. The text is very long, about a mother begging her eldest son to take care of her youngest son and send him money, also giving him instructions to mail the letters well hidden, fearing it may not reach them. 118   image16/JA/1868 Salta - Buenos Aires: Entire letter franked with 5c. (GJ.38) with rococo cancel of SALTA completely worn out, excellent quality. The text is very long, about the beginning of the "PLAGE" (yellow fever) that ravaged Buenos Aires and Córdoba, and the fear that it would extend to Salta due to the little precautions by the police to avoid contagion. Then there is a comment that "los montoneros de Varela" were being protected by Bolivia (in Antofagasta), from where they attacked Salta, also many other family considerations relating to study, etc., very interesting!
