Folded in half thus creating a split in the left third of the cover, and horizontal crease going through, or just under the stamps, else fine.

122 CVR 36i, F1, F2 image1909 9c Registered Letter Partially Paid with Registration Stamps, a "A. McKechnie" blue cover mailed from Ottawa on MAY.7.1909 (c.d.s. cancels tie stamps) to Winnipeg (two different MAY.9 receivers including an ORB) via the "Fort William & Winnipeg R.P.O." (MAY.8 transit). The 9c double weight registered rate was paid using a 2c SQ, 2c RLS and 5c RLS stamps, very fine and unusual franking / usage of these stamps in 1909. Small part of backflap missing, front and back are held together by three pieces of tape, else fine.

126 CVR 37 image1882 24c Parcel Post Rate Small Queen Cover, a folded ledger sheet inscribed "Parcel Post..." mailed from Québec City sometime in 1882 (docketing on back proves year) to St Joseph de Beauce, franked with a block of 8 of the 3c deep bright red orange Small Queen, tied and cancelled by 8 strikes of the Québec City 2-ring #3, paying a parcel post rate of between 12 and 18 ounces. Very fine and a particularly nice example of this shade / franking / rate.

127 CVR 37 image1878 3c Small Queen on Registered Drop Letter, Contrary to Regulations, a cover with an oval Toronto return address handstamp mailed to and from Toronto on MAR.5.1878 (broken circle free strike) and franked with a very fine 3c red Small Queen, tied by a "REGISTERED" handstamp, paying the 1c drop letter plus 2c registration rate. This was mailed in the period (OCT.1.1876 to MAY.8.1889) where it was compulsory to use Registration stamps to pay for registration charges. Tears on back and cut down at right, still a nice example showing this scarce illegal franking.

131 CVR 37 image1875-76 Two Similar Toronto Fancy "Arrowhead" Cancels, both with different, and ornate "A. M. Theal / Sewing Machines / Bazar Dress Patterns / Needles, Thread, Silk & Oil" etc. corner cards, both mailed to Armadale from Toronto on OCT.24.1875 and OCT.8.1876, each with Unionville transits on back. Franking are with 3c Small Queens, each tied by a similar fancy arrowhead cancel. The second cover has its original company letterhead letter inside. Bit reduced at right, else a very fine pair.
