265 CVR 74/88 imageGroup of 47 Covers Franked with Queen Victoria Numeral Issues, noting a variety of frankings, from the ½c to the 7c, including many single frankings, combinations, etc. A diverse lot which includes advertising, illustrated advertising, registered, cross-border, a couple of 1c precancels, and lots of postmarks, including Cannington Manor ASSA, flags, duplex, House of Commons, etc. Saw a "The Flag that Braved" 2c purple cover to Montréal with receiver on back, a "Flag that Braved" cover to England (missing a stamp but both ½c stamps have re-entries, a 2c on 3c Provisional used in period and much more. 266 CVR E6 imageAdvanced Collection / Exhibit of the 1935 20c Special Delivery Stamp on Cover, with 22 covers in all, 14 of which were shown at CAPEX 2022 as part of a single-frame exhibit titled "Allegory of Progress" by Dr. Robert G. Leigh (won a gold medal). Each of the 14 items were hand picked over several years for being different in some way, includes a FDC (cross border), three different rate domestic usages, 4 different cross-border rate usages (including a bag tag), two different rate cross-border registered, two usages to foreign destinations (England and Denmark), one used on the last day of issue and one which is bisected as the new rate was reduced to 10c. The remaining 8 covers (including a bag tag) did not make it in the exhibit for lack of space, or were purchased later. One cover has an opening tear at top, rest are generally very fine. A rare opportunity to obtain so many good 20c Special Delivery covers.
