247 E/P   imageStock Page of Various Newfoundland Proofs, Etc. with 22 stamps, starting with #s 78, 85 and 86 (9 stamps, each having a security punch and different SPECIMEN overprint), a 5c Caribou proof in black, a 14c England Coat of Arms (#221) proof in black, #220 (mint hinged imperf single), 8c Heart's Content issue (no gum imperf single), #189a (mint never hinged lower right corner pair), a 3c and 15c 1941-44 definitive issue mint never hinged perforated trial colour stamps (with issued stamp included for comparison) and finally a set of three 1937 Coronation stamps with curved SPECIMEN perforation (mint never hinged, but small toning spots). Overall fine to very fine.

248   imagePage of Newfoundland Forgeries, starting with 9 Oneglia forgeries in orange vermilion (complete set of 6, plus some duplicates), 5 Oneglia forgeries in brown rose (missing only the 1sh value) and a 4d Oneglia in scarlet (a difficult shade to find). Also includes a group of 8 all different forgeries, with 4 Pence and 4 Cents issues, from Spiro or Torres. A useful group, in much better quality than is normally offered.

250 CVR   imageCollection of Stampless Letters from Raleigh U.C. 1834 to 1852, with 12 folded letters or covers, each written-up on a page, starts with the "1829-Type" with an 1834 "FREE" cover to Sandwich, followed by an 1838 O.H.M.S folded money letter (no markings, ex Palmer and Rixon), an 1838 O.H.M.S. folded money letter. Then we see a progression in wear of the Raleigh / U.C. double broken circle, with 9 items from 1843 to 1852, including a printed memorandum, two cross-border with curved CANADA markings, etc. Many more handstamps, rates and other interesting things.
