1830 Trans-Atlantic
Folded Letter with Scarce Niagara Belt and Buckle Handstamp, the letter inside is datelined “York, 11th Jany 1830” with a faint York U.C double circle in red, plus a faint Niagara U.C double circle in red, as well as a rarely seen oval belt and
buckle style “NIAGARA / PAID / TO NEW YORK / U.CANADA” (exchange marking in use for only one year). Originally addressed to New York, crossed out and re-directed to Dorset, England, with a boxed “SHIP LETTER / LIVERPOOL” on back and endorsed “Pr Ship
Wm. Byrnes”. Very fine and well written-up on a page also explaining the rates. (Scan 1)

Island Postmark on Inter-Provincial Folded Letter, the three page letter inside is datelined "Charlotte Town 12th Nov. 1832" and is addressed to St John New Brunswick, with large double-circle NOV.12.1832 "POST OFFICE / P.E. ISLAND" datestamp

Star Cancel on Inter-Provincial Folded Letter, letter inside was written at Bathurst N.B. on DEC.23.1837 and addressed to St. Eleanors, Lot 16 in Prince Edward Island and travelled through Cumberland, with a nice strike of its scarce star c.d.s.
cancel on front. Docketing indicates a FEB.1 arrival. A scarce and interesting routing, destination and postmark. A similar example sold in the Sandy Clark collection sold for just under $1,000.

the office’s accounts, and the 1841 cover (no contents) is docketed to have contained a draft payment.

Cancel on Folded Letter to Québec City, the letter inside was written on OCT.22.1841 by the Pastor of Pictou, and addressed to the Bishop of Nancy, with a note explaining that the letter could be opened by the Bishop of Québec in his absence.
Pictou N.S. star cancel is light, but identifiable and we note a Frederickton N.B. OCT.30.1841 transit c.d.s. in red (with inverted date). Missing part of letter, still very fine.
