853 CVR/PC   imageValuable Collection of Danish West Indies Postal History, 1880 to 1917, with 42 covers / cards all neatly displayed and annotated on quadrille in a like-new Elbe album with slipcase. We note a great selection of frankings, both single and combinations paying different rates such as postcard, printed matter, double weight, foreign, registered, and more. Also a good selection of destination countries as well as incoming mail from various places. A clean and mostly very fine quality collection, all of which is scanned online. This collection was mailed on approval to the current owner in the year 2000, and the dealer included a detailed inventory of each item and prices he was asking at the time, which totals U$6,595 with items priced between U$30 and $450. The lot continues with postal stationery (used and unused), post cards, flight covers, mourning covers, etc, along with a correspondence of 65 "Franchise Militaire" covers (almost all with enclosures), ranging from 1924 to 1926, and 48 traffic tickets ranging from 1972-1997, franked with a combination of various revenue and stamp usages.
