689 CVR   imageExtensive Collection of World War II Verified and Passed for Export Covers, with 203 covers, the great majority of which were mailed from Canada to the United States, save for fewer than two dozen, which were mailed to England, Hong Kong and Switzerland. Perhaps only a dozen were mailed from the USA to Canada. There is a good variety of frankings as well as postmarks (blackouts, small towns, RPO, etc.) and we note a variety of treatments such as opened to verify and passed for export / import, opened to verify contents and passed for export / import, opened to verify and passed for export / import, passed by examiner and opened to verify and passed for import, all evidenced by a quantity of different handstamps and sealing tapes.
