646 CVR   imageOld Time Accumulation of Roughly 800 Canada First Day Covers, 1930s-1960s, filling a bankers box, noting singles, sets, blocks, and plate block frankings. We estimate roughly half the covers have private cachets including makers Capital, Art Craft, JCR, U.E.L. Calgary, Rose Craft, along with some unknown makers, with some having registered or special delivery rates, barrel and flag cancels, and more. A spot check of catalogue values indicate a few covers ranging from $20 to $40 each including Unitrade #s 191, 196, 198-200, 208 block of 4, 209, 242, just to name a few. Duplication ranges from 3 to 10 in most cases, with a few different private cachets for some issues from the 1950s to the 1960s. We note a few small faults with a few of the covers including bends, soiling and toning, still a nice lot which should please first day cover collectors, overall fine to very fine. Our photos show a sampling and an overview. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (All Scans)
