520 E/P   imageKing George V Pair of Bock 1½d Progressive Die Proofs of the Second Letter Card / Postcard Die, the proofs are dated 3 days apart in June 1917 (there appears to have been retouching of the background cross hatch above the King's head). Both are signed by Bock (their designer). The die was originally used for producing letter cards and then was switched to use for postcards in 1920. On glazed paper with tape in the margin at top, presumably where they were attached to a file. Probably unique.
