1915-1927 ½d Yellow
Green King George V Surface Printed Study Group, these can sometimes get overlooked, but can make for a fascinating collecting area. This grouping includes proof pairs, one black, two with different shades with "Colour Print" overprints. There is
a trial "coil" single, printed watermark, many different shades, papers, and worn plates (which await your expert eye), plus a used single with a reversed watermark (CP NZ$375). The officials include different papers and perforations and the margin
block of four includes one with "no stop after official". Overall fine to very fine, with 51 stamps in all. (Scan 1)

Definitives First Set Perforated 14 x 13½, Plus the War Tax Overprint, mint never hinged, each with two diagonal, hand applied, defacement bars that were given out each official guest at the new issue ceremony. Comes with the original glassine

½d Green King George V Perforated 14 x 15 on Jones Paper, having no advertisement, first block with 4 of the 6 stamps from the 1915 "dark green" pane, with "pair wide horizontal bar" (upper pair is lightly hinged, CP W4a(Y) - cat NZ$300 as two
pairs). The complete pane of 6 (lightly hinged in upper selvedge only) is from the 1924 printing in a slightly lighter shade (CP W4c(Z) - catalogues NZ$300). Very fine.

King George V Mint Study Group, with a plate proof block of four in black, and two "Colour Print" overprinted proof pairs in different shades. Blocks include "two-perf pairs" on the thin pictorial paper, as well as a block each of the two
different pairs (one pair in each has no watermark due to misfeeding). An upper plate #14 pair rounds out this lot. Overall fine to very fine.

George V Mint Study Group, both colours of the 2d KGV "Recess printed" definitive are here. The purple shade has a block of plate proofs in black, a block of "Colour Print" overprinted plate proofs in purple, a lower right corner block of four
and a two-perf pair. The 2d yellow has a "Colour Print" overprint on a perforated stamp (usually for approved colours), another two-perf pair and a block, plus a single with "no watermark" (listed but unpriced in CP). The never hinged block of 24 is
the line perf 14 on "provisional "Pictorial" paper (CP K2g - catalogues NZ$720 in CP). Overall fine to very fine. (Scan 1)

1916 3d Chocolate
King George V Study Group, this issue's offering starts with blocks of plate proofs on thin card and on unwatermarked paper, followed by a proof pair with a watermark reading "PAPER". Two "Colour Print" singles are in different shades, and there
are mint and used shades, perforations, two-perf pairs, and the "Provisional" issue of 1916 on "Pictorial" paper (with a mint sheet margin block that is "double gummed"). The officials include a good two-perf pair and nice upper corner block of the
"Pictorial" paper. Overall fine to very fine.

Orange-Yellow King George V, Perforated 14 x 13½, Plate 20, a mint never hinged complete sheet of 120 which includes a Campbell Paterson-listed re-entry at position 4/10 (KV5a(b) c.v NZ$300). Has been folded in a couple of directions over the
years, and one stamp in the middle has a stain which is visible on both sides, otherwise very fine, and Scott catalogue value is for the sheet without the re-entry.

mint plate 44 singles (CP NZ$400. each as singles). last but not least are a mint and a used Official. Overall fine to very fine.

1915 4½d Deep Green
King George V Mint Study Group, this is one of the simpler denominations in this set, but can still make for an interesting study. The black proof block is on unwatermarked paper, the pair is also unwatermarked but came from the unwatermarked
portion of a watermarked sheet. The two "Colour Prints" blocks include a deep olive-green shade and a second shade much closer to the colour of issue. There are also two mint singles with different perforations and a two-perf vertical pair. Overall
fine to very fine.
