Some are identified as having better dater / obliterator combinations, such as one with a Type 7-D-hub 97b that is dated AUG.25.1897 (the day before the recorded ERD). Also noted corner cards, illustrated advertising, private postcards, cover to England and Germany, etc. Saw one front, and there are some faults, still mostly fine or better. 202 CVR/PC   imageGroup of 65 Hamilton Bickerdike Machine Cancels on Covers / Cards, with 9 Type 7 (Involute flag, three dated in 1897), 42 Type 8 (Barred flag), 9 Type M6 (two with the scarce B obliterator) and the rest are dater hubs used as receivers on incoming mail. We noted a postcard with a rare use of a complete flag / hub used as a receiver, two covers mailed to England, and more. Saw six fronts, and there are some faults, still mostly fine or better. Saw some corner cards, and at least one cover mailed to England, a great opportunity for the specialist to study the relation between the various dater hubs and obliterators. 204 O   imageLarge Collection of Mostly Western Town Postmarks on Stamp and Stamp on Piece, 1900 to 1970s, a lovely collection of many thousands of postmarks which appear to be mostly select strikes, stored in Manila stock pages, separated by province. We counted 73 pages of Saskatchewan, 39 pages of Alberta, 29 pages of Manitoba and a binder containing 11 pages of mixed provinces. We noted all sorts of postmarks including c.d.s., broken circles, MOON, MOTO, POCON, machines, and more. A great lot for the specialist, or a very good start to an exciting new collecting project. 210 O   imageHuge Stock of About 3,500 Squared Circle Cancels on Stamp, all in brand new 102 cards filling 4½ red boxes. Each 102 card contains one stamp (some stamps on piece, plus a few stationery cut squares), and we note mostly Small Queens (1c to 10c), but also some Jubilees, Leafs and Numerals, as well as a few Map stamps. A quick scan through these cards revealed strikes from all over the country, with strike quality ranging from barely identifiable to lovely socked on the nose. As expected, there are lots of larger towns, but also better towns throughout. These cards were put together by someone with little Squared Circle knowledge, so there is a good possibility for finds of better towns, time marks (noted a blank Regina), early or late dates (saw lots of 1893 and 1894 dates), etc. About 100 cards have writing on them by known dealers, which were purchased separately by the owner, and all the other cards are still blank. 213 CVR   imageGroup of 18 New Brunswick Stampless Covers, 1834-1867, mostly from the 1840s and 50s, we noted a good variety of material including folded letters and covers with good town postmarks, saw an undated (circa 1814-1815) folded cover with St John N.B. straightline, an undated money letter, a 1859 "Sackville N.B. / PAID" cover to the US, an 1859 cover to Liverpool England, an 1834 St John NB folded letter rated "4/4" to London England via Halifax (Fleuron datestamp) and more.
