231	CVR		Correspondence of 25 Small Queen Covers from Paradise Lane N.S., to Antone Hechler in Halifax, dated 1878-1879. All but one are franked with a single 3c Small Queen (the other is a 1c Small Queen), all tied by a blue fancy cancel matching the blue c.d.s. from Pardise Lane N.S. There is a good variety of fancy designs including stars, intaglio designs, geometric designs, etc. One of them is listed as "philatelic or bogus" in Lacelle (#983) because the star was "three years before P&A proof" but this correspondence should prove useful to establish a decent time line of use for each of the designs. Almost all have faults to a degree, still a useful lot for the fancy cancel, or Nova Scotia collector.
