1249 c, entire, etc. imageMalta: Army and Navy Concession Rate Mail: 1878 (Aug. 31) reduced local wrapper to Casal Zebbug franked 1864-79 1d. plate 210 and tied by “A25” duplex, an invalid and overpaid franking for local mail (for which the Malta ½d. first issue had been intended) but apparently accepted without penalty, this possibly explained by the presence of British and Indian troops (as well as Maltese attachments) en route to Cyprus.
