683 og/nhO   Canada substantial balance of premium quality collection arranged in a stockbook, mint and used to the Small Queens, then all mint including back-of-the-book issues, among the better used are 1852-57 3d on regular and thin papers and a 5d, 1855 10d and a few Large Queens, among the numerous mint highlights are 1857 ½d, 1859 1c, 5c, 10c (2), 12½c and 17c, several large Queens including 5c with RPS certificate, Small Queens including 10c (2), 20c and 50c, 1897 Jubilee to the $3.00, Maple Leaves including 6c and 10c, Numerals complete, 10c-50c Edward, Quebec complete, Admirals complete with duplication, then pretty much complete into the 1950s, also most air mails, special delivery, registration, postage dues and officials, also includes some better blocks of four, the earliest issues sometimes with no gum or regummed, however most are o.g. l.h or n.h., fine to extremely fine; view to appreciate. 688 c   imageColombia, 1846-62 incoming mail from England, three covers from London and Liverpool entering the Colombian mails at Cartagena and Santa Marta, of which two stampless and one with interesting notation denoting the involvement of a forwarding agent, the third, carried by the RSMP "Seine" to St. Thomas and being embarked on the "Tamar" to Santa Marta, bears marginal pair of 1s on dispatch (defective at base) and was carried at double rate, although it was charged at single rate on arrival with "1" due marking for 10 centavos not exceeding 10 grams; all with small oval Colombian handstamps and two showing framed "De Ultramar" postmark, fine-very fine, an unusual trio. 689 ogOpP   Colombia, 1863 Sixth Issue collection, comprising over 140 stamps used and unused, including 5c with three tête-bêche pairs of which one unused, with two additional pairs of this denomination which are even scarcer than the tête-bêche in this condition, and consequently underestimated in catalogues, following with 10c including a spectacular example used with large sheet-margin and attractive usages on piece, 20c with two scarce used pairs and one similar multiple mint, 50c with unused multiples including strip of three and blocks of four, 1p displaying a very rare usage of three examples on piece thus paying a very high rate and representing one of the largest frankings known for this issue, a wide range of cancellations with the highlights being handstamps of Zapatoca, Piedecuesta, Colón, Tumaco, Panama, manuscript usages of Purificación, La plata, Espinal, Quibdó, Túquerres, Villeta, etc., some examples with the faint faults which plague the classic Colombian issues are to be expected, generally fine-very fine.
