1872, 5 sen light greenish blue, brittle laid paper, block of 16 (4x4) from the upper right corner of the sheet, preserving the surrounding sheet margin, positions 5-8 / 13-16 / 21-24 / 29-32, including plate
flaws in position 7 consisting of "right dragons tail missing" and "right dragons claw missing" in position 15, these being two of the most prominent in this value, unused without gum as issued. Some separated perforations as usually found in this
fragile issue. Three stamps with typical irregular perforations, position 13 with small tear, positions 29-30 with light tone spots, not detracting from the overall freshness and good condition for this very rare multiple. (JSCA ca. ¥2,700,000;
Michel 8y €17,600+).
