1890 (Sep 16) & 1892 (Jun 27), Two envelopes from the correspondence of Archdeacon Robert Walker to family members at Great Yarmouth, England, the first with 1882-90 4a6p and the latter with 1892-97 2a6p paying the UPU rate,
both tied with 3-bar squared circle date-stamp. The 1892 cover displays Reverend Walker’s initials “RHW” at the lower left reflecting that the cover had emanated from Uganda having been carried by native runner & hand-carried to Zanzibar with such
service associated with forwarder Boustead & Ridley. Few examples have survived. A nice pair on an exhibit page.
