Prepaid "11½" with red Edinburgh "PAID" c.d.s. on the front along with an inexplicable (!) v. fine red oval-framed "MISSENT/TO/BIRMINGHAM"; also having a partly fine double-oval "Ship Letter/[Crown]/QUEBEC", matching the mainly very fine "QUEBEC/JUL 10/1814" Fleuron c.d.s. on the lower flap. Charged "10[d]" (Sterling) on arrival (2d Ship Letter rate + 8d inland). Amazing combination of markings; Exhibition Item of Great Character.
