Fine appearance and scarce (H&G 5). Cert RPSL (2017) which states "..red ink matches the ink on postally used cards with deletion applied after the obliteration.." and "...is not an official issue." Note: Notwithstanding the RPSL opinion, the author of the definitive book on Nigerian postal stationery; published by RPSL (2023); states; "Even though a lot of questions about these cards have been raised, it still seems plausible that manuscript surcharges were indeed issued, at least for the single cards.".
