Just eighteen pairs exist (with 10 in the famous 'Hausberg' block of 70) according to Brian Moorhouse (Haiti Philately, September 2011), this being the second largest and the sole marginal multiple recorded Scott = $ 6'000+. The 1 c. stamp at right shows a horizontal crease, and the cover has a slight trim at the base and right. Addressed to N. F. Seebeck in New York, all stamps are tied by 'Cap Haitien / Haiti' cds's (Jan 11) in black. Reverse with 'New York / Paid All' arrival (Jan 18). A fine and very rare franking.
