1236 piece image1876/84: 1 d. blue bisect used on piece with a horizontal pair, tied by the 'B27' upright barred oval in black, of fresh and fine appearance. Rare Gi = £ 4'500 on cover. Comes with a 1876/84 2 d. Green bisect and wing margin single, used in combination on piece, dated 2 June 1884, tied by the barred oval '566' in black with a Cape Coast cds alongside. The piece has two repaired tears one through the wing margin. Has a BPA (1954) certificate which doesn't mention the repair(Image 1) (Image 2)

Die Proof of the duty plate only in black on glazed white card, cut to the size of a stamp (20 x 24mm.) and affixed to part archival sheet (55 x 55mm.), endorsed 'Jan 19. / 120 leads' and dated 'Feb 22.07' with diagonal line through. Sets are of fresh colour and nicely centred with part or large part og. and a number unmounted, also 1907/13 1 s. black on green variety 'Damaged frame and crown' (Gi 65a = £ 475) and also noted horizontal pair of the unissued 1907/13 10 s. green & red on green handstamped with SPECIMEN in black (Gi 69s = £ 750+). 1242 imagePostal Orders: 1896/52: Group of nine used examples comprising six used Queen Victoria examples; 1 s. green and 1 s. 6d. red, both with 1 d. poundage; 2 s. 6d., brown and 5 s. chestnut, both with 3 d. poundage; and 10 s. lilac and a 20 s. sage-green, both with 6 d. poundage. A 1929 King George V profile head, 1 s. blue with 2 d. poundage on 1 d. with additional ½ d. green stamp and also two King George VI 20 s. red one a 4 d. and the other a 6 d poundage, British postal orders overprinted for use in the Gold Coast. 4780 **/*/cover/(*) image1875/1949: Collection on 7 album pages with mainly unused examples with a few early used examples incl. 1875 4 d. magenta unused part og (SG 2), horizontal pair 6 d. orange unused faults but scarce (Gi 3) and used examples, also set of the five values of the 1876 perf. 14 unused with part or large part of gum some imperfections although fresh colour. 1920 De La Rue Die Proof for the 2 d. value with "GOLD COAST" and Duty Plate "2d" printed in black on glazed white card handstamped 'AFTER / STRIKING' has some soiling. Noted a few varieties on the the 1935 Silver Jubilee issues unused. Additionally there is one cover and a number of postage due stamps including set of specimen examples of D1-D4. Notwithstanding some faults, particularly early on, a fiine and scarce assembly Gi = £ 3'708+(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4) (Image 5) (Image 6) (Image 7)
