Tati Concessions 1896: Appendix Sheet with De La Rue Die Proofs (6), each in the colours
selected for the issue, the 10 s. value in deep olive-green taken from the Die; the 1 s., 2 s. 6 d., 5 s. and £ 5 all with Duty Plates picked out in Chinese white on hand-painted background in carmine, deep blue, mauve and orange respectively,
the £ 1 value with Duty Plates in Chinese white on bright ultramarine background. The two sheets dated at top "March 18th 1896" with "Appendix" below. Ilustrated in the "De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6293. Unique and

unused, all in blocks of twenty with margins at top and at base and the four higher values with sheet margin also at right; these being the De La Rue file copies with the 2 s. 6 d. indigo showing manuscript "1 Stamp Mr. Purcell 21/7/96" in pencil,
adjoining "2 Stamps, Paris House, Cancelled 15/3/16" in red ink and, at base "One stamp, CA's book, 10/8/23" in black ink, all notations in the sheet margins. The 5 s., 10 s., £ 1 and £ 5 sheets with the De La Rue datestamp in margin "19
MAY 1896" in blue, sold together with an impressive Tati Concessions Company cheque, printed in red on pink, using the Elephant vignette, dated October 1954. Rare. (Image 1)
