Inclinados 1844/46: 60 r. grey-black on greyish, a vertical strip of six applied to a six page Judicial document dated 1 June 1851 sent by special court messenger from Sao Joao da Barra to Rio de Janeiro, the strip with large margins all round but slightly aged at base; paying a franking of 360 reis. These Judicial usages, which paid for mailing via messenger at a lower charge than the postal charges, are discussed by Everaldo Santos FRPSL in the London Philatelist, Volume 124, Oct 2015, a copy of the article is enclosed with the lot. Inclinados 1844/46: 60 r. black, Type II, the remarkable part Judicial document / heavy packet, franked by two horizontal pairs, and two vertical format blocks of fourteen (2 x 7) and twelve (2 x 6) all tied by seven centrally struck "CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE" circular datestamps (16 Nov 1844) in black. Inclinados 1844/46: 90 r. black on greyish paper, Types II-I-II-I in adjoining vertical rows (RHM 7+7A), a used block of sixteen (4 x 4), close to ample margins all round, cancelled by eight complete strikes of framed "NITHEROY" handstamp (Ayres fig. 1370) in black. Two closed tears and scissor cut not affecting the frontal appearance, illustrated and discussed in "Inclinados" by Walter Taveira on page 230, being the third largest used block showing the two types.
