Switzerland, tied by "BUCAREST" circular datestamp (Sept 22) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 714). Reverse with Vienna cds (Sept 26) and Wyl arrival cds (Sept 28) in black. A rare cover - underfranked by 5 soldi (the rate to Switzerland had been
reduced to 15 soldi on 1 September 1868) and the clerk probably did not notice the stamp was in this currency rather than the 'normal' kreuzer. Slight reduced soiling and small faults but a scarce cover - the sole such recorded. (Image 1) (Image 2)

rate cover to Chaux des Fonds, Switzerland, tied by "BUCAREST" circular datestamps (Oct 20) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 714). Reverse with Chaux des Fonds arrival cds (Oct 26) in black; manuscript '4' Rheinish krajcar in red crayon on obverse. A
rare cover - the single rate to Switzerland had been reduced to 15 soldi on 1 September 1868 and thus this double rate cover was overpaid 10 soldi. Slight peripheral aging and the 10 s. with contemporary tear but a scarce and most attractive cover.
