1852: Carta a mano 15 c. rosso in a vibrant shade, with large parts of the left stamp while
large parts of the stamp at right are missing, fair to good margins at top and base, a fresh example tied by two line "PERAROLO / 18 SET." (1854) datestamp (strike slightly enhanced at left) to entire letter directed to Ceneda. A most attractive item
from the Habsburg collection, presumably a case of fraud of the postal system, where nine stamps were cut from a horizontal strip of eight. Cert. Ferchenbauer (2017). (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

Fiscal stamps used as definitives / Marche da bollo usate per posta 1854: 5 c. green,
brown-orange & black with the value in typography, three fresh adhesives with overall good perforation (partially blunted at top due to cover's edge), tied by "PADOVA 4 / 8" cds to 1856 entire letter, directed to Venezia, reverse with indistinct
arrival cds. Very attractive usage, a rare franking with fiscal stamps instead of postal definitives to pay the 15 c. rate in the first rayon. Signed A. & E. Diena, Gassi; cert. Bottacchi (2014) Sassone = € 23'250. Note: Until July 1857 the use of

to large margins all round, tied by "MILANO 8 / 3" (1858) cds to entire letter (signs of humidity), directed to Mantova, reverse with arrival cds of the next day and distribution cachet. A rare usage of this sought after forgery made to defraud the
