Transit Shanghai Chinese PO (21 Jul), Shanghai French PO (22 Jul), Base Office (13 Aug), Yatung BPO (14 Aug). First earliest cover from Chinese Inland to Lhasa Chinese PO which was founded on 16 Jun 1910. Opened out for display.

961 cover image1911 Shanghai (21 Jan) to Commissioner of Customs Yatung via India. Statistical Department On Service cover, f.w. Coiling Dragon 1c + 3c in strip of 3, tied by Shanghai bilingual cds. Transit Shanghai BPO (23 Jan), Tuticorin (12 Feb), Base Office (16 Feb). Arrived Yatung (17 Feb). Yatung Customs was founded in 1894 as a result of Anglo-Chinese Convention on Tibet and India. Communications with Chinese inland was usually through post via India.
