 1838 and 1862 a pair of pre-adhesive entire letter and printed matter from Dutch Factory in Canton, showcasing oval “ZEEBRIEF / Posthorn / ONGEFRANKEE” h.s, “ZEEBRIEF / MIDDELBURG" d.s., Amsterdam company seal and triangular
“1-1/2c” accountancy mark. Mails from Dutch Factory are rather scarce.

 1835 Lima, Peru (16 Sep) to William S. Wetmore, Canton via Sandwich Island (Hawaii). Entire letter with no postmarks or franking. Containing 2.5 pages of content about Peru-Chile War. Extremely scarce origin of South America,
not to mention being the earlier one of the two mails from Peru to Canton via Sandwich Island (The later one dated 1844 which realized US$1100 in Robert Siegel Sale 1327, lot 5721. Ex- S. Chazen). A letter of tremendous historical value.
1835.9.16 秘魯利馬經三文治島（夏威夷）寄廣州William S. Wetmore。郵簡，不帶郵戳或貼票，包含兩頁多秘魯與智利戰爭之內容。極罕之南美始發地，更為存世兩件自秘魯經三文治島進口廣州之郵件中，日期較早的一件。（日期較晚的一件為1844年，出自蔡盛舊藏。Robert Siegel Sale 1327拍品號5721，以美元1100落鎚）。極具歷史意義。(Image 1)

The only known mail from Thursday Island with adhesive cancelled at Hong Kong. This card was carried by Eastern and Australian Steamship Co to Hong Kong.

reverse showing Lisbon octagonal airmail cds, Hong Kong "AIR TRANSIT / 4" circular seal. Censored and re-sealed. Transit New York (13 Jul). Arrived Shanghai (6 Aug). Probably sent out through neutral country to ensure successful delivery.
