3298 cover imageca 1893 a pair Qiaopi letter sheet from Timor to Tsungkow. Qiaopi from Dutch East Indies are already scarce given the high integration level of Chinese community. Originating from Timor in such early years is even more unusual. With photocopy of the covers which proves the origin.

約1893年（光緒年間）兩件帝汶寄梅州松口之僑批信紙。由於當地華僑歸化程度較高，故出自荷屬東印度之僑批本已少見，而出自帝汶而非其他大埠，加之甚早的年份，實在可遇不可求。附有原信封之影印本證明寄件地。(Image 1) (Image 2)

8 **/bof image1878 Thin Paper Large Dragon imperf plate proof block of 4 set with margin or corner margin, with extra circle near left claw removed. Lightly hinged. 5ca block repaired by tape on reverse. When the die of Large Dragon was producced, there were 3 and a half circle at the bottom left dragon claw on 1ca while 3 circles for 3ca and 5ca. However, the middle circle was removed before printing. Therefore, die proof and plate proof can be distinguished by the number of circles.

1878年薄紙大龍無齒試版樣票四方連全，均帶紙邊/直角邊。龍爪左下小圈被移除。背輕貼。5分銀背面重拼。 在大龍郵票鑄模之時，1分銀左下龍爪帶有三個半小圈，3分銀及5分銀則為三個小圓。但在正式付印前，中間一小圈被被刮去。故憑小圈數量可知此為試版樣票而非試模樣票。(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4) (Image 5) (Image 6)

4 cover image1905 Paoting Army to Zongli Yamen. Official red band cover, applied with “Peiyang Wenbaoju General PO” origin and “Peiyang Wenbaoju Peking Office” handfilled arrival seal. Flap applied with unrecrorded letter “Pei” seal. On front with gold foil. Luxurious and rare. Probably unique. Cover top left damaged. Front and back partly detached but reinforced.

1905年保定陸軍第四鎮寄總理戶部衙門戴鴻慈。公文紅條封，背面鈐“北洋文報總局”始發及“北洋文報京局”到達手填日期直戳。並以未記錄之“北”字緘印封口。正面灑有金萡，甚為華麗大氣，可能為孤品。封左上角有損，正背面部分分離但被修補加強。(Image 1) (All Images)

158 cover image1899 Canton (8 Nov) to Tientsin. Double-registered red band cover, f.w. Coiling Dragon 2c in block of 8 on reverse, in total of triple weight + double registered rate, tied by Canton bilingual cds., alongside with Canton "A" and "Inside Canton Old City" handfilled d.s. Arrived Tientsin (22 Nov). Cover opened out for display. In 1899, Imperial Post set up branch post offices which used non-standard postmark. Very nice example gathering both lovely Canton postmarks. Double registered usage is also attractive. 2003 (Jun) Zurich Asia. Ex- Anna-Lisa and Sven-Eric Beckeman.

1899.11.8 廣州寄天津。雙掛號紅條封，背貼蟠龍2分八方連，合1角6分三倍重量雙掛號郵資，銷廣州半切漢英日戳。另鈐廣州郵政局“A”及廣州老城內郵政局手填日戳。11.22抵天津。封剖開以作展示。大清郵政於1899年增設分局及內地分局，使用的戳式並不統一。集兩款稀罕廣州郵戳於一身之出色例子，雙掛號更是難得。2003.6 蘇黎世亞洲。貝克曼伉儷舊藏。(Image 1) (Image 2)
