The adhesive tied to cover by a single strike of the mute four-ring postmark with circular datestamp alongside SANTIAGO/CHILE/29 NBRE/55 and showing boxed red accounting mark FOREIGN COUNTRIES/ART 20, which is very scarce and was in use only in 1856 (according to van der Linden only three pieces known). Extremely fresh and fine, with Sismondo photo cert. ÷ 1855-56, 5 c. braunrot, 2. Londoner Druck von Perkins, Bacon & Co., nur links gering lupenrandig, sonst an drei Seiten gute Ränder, auf Brief von Santiago nach Frankreich. Die Frankatur mit stummem Vierringstempel entwertet, daneben roter SANTIAGO CHILE/29 NBRE/55 und sehr seltener Verrechnungsstempel FOREIGN COUNTRIES/ART 20 (nach v. d. Linden sind nur drei Abschläge registriert!). Wunderbar frischer und feiner Brief, ausführliches Fotoattest Sismondo.
