1284 British Empire Exhibition. 1923-25 Covers to Iraq or USA cancelled by the "PENANG / BRITISH / EMPIRE / EXHIBITION" duplex cancel, the 1923 cover with "1924" in the slogan portion, the 1925 cover with "1924" removed. Also 1925 cover with the left portion only of exhibition duplex used as a datestamp, cancelling 6c on a cover to India or 8c postage due on a cover from India, these two covers with faults, the two duplex covers fine. (4).

1285 Explanatory Handstamps. 1899-1968 Covers and cards including 1899 postcard (reverse portion only, missing the picture side, corner fault) from Italy to India with Penang c.d.s and "MISSENT / TO PENANG" (Proud I5, earliest recorded date), 1932-36 covers from G.B but returned with violet "RETOUR" and "Inconnu / Not known" or "Not known / (inconnu)" (both Not Known marks unrecorded by Proud), etc., some faults. Both fine and very scarce, not recorded by Proud. (2).
