428 image1835 Valentine lettersheet by Dobbs, a fine embossed border with cupids and wording in French at each corner, the centre with roses, handpainted and cut into a cobweb, which lifts to reveal a cupid, bird and lady with a shield entitled "Tis vain to oppose", inscribed "To my dear Elizabeth" and dated by the sender. 444 Argentina/Brazil. 1931 (Sep 18) Cover from Friedrichshafen to Pernambuco franked 4m, carried on the second South American flight, redirected back to Germany and carried on the return flight franked 400r + Zeppelin 5000r (S.129); and 1934 (Nov 27) cover from Buenos Ayres to Brisbane franked $1.15, intended to go on the Christmas Zeppelin flight but actually flown by Condor via Bathurst and Imperial Airways from London, an unusual destination.
