This year we bring together an array of material offered in five different
catalogues. The star of the sales is the famous Dawson cover, bearing the
2c and 5c Hawaiian Missionary stamps. This spectacular Aristocrat of
Philately is part of the Steven C. Walske collection, which is presented in
its own catalogue and will be the starting point for Rarities Week.
Other highlights include the unique 1847 Issue Proof Panes, the first
newspaper printing of the Declaration of Independence, rare Essays and
Proofs, and an array of rarities from the Colonial to the modern era.
Note: Lot 100, a 5c Hawaiian Missionary on cover, will be offered
immediately following the Walske sale at 11:45 a.m. and before the Rarities
sale.
