Worldwide Stamps and Postal History continued...

Worldwide Collections and Accumulations
Lot Sym. Lot Description
2855   Worldwide Collection. In eighteen albums (all but two are Scott Specialty albums), plus there is additional group on Scott Specialty pages (this group would probably fill four albums), the vast majority is Europe and Colonies, some 19th Century, but there is very little in the way of high cataloging clunkers, some countries are quite well filled with unused or used, incl. some modern Mint N.H. sets in mounts, other areas area little spotty, but even these often have some better stamps included, the consignor carefully catalogued the lot using the 2012 Scott, and came to a total of over $140,000.00 (the consignor did not get around to cataloging five of the albums, so they are not included in the total), the tapes of each country are included, we did a quick spot-check and the catalogue values seem largely correct, typical mixed condition for a collection of this size, overall a useful lot with a huge catalogue value

2856 og Worldwide Balance of the William Fekete Air Post Collection. Housed in two binders, mostly unused to the 1950s, though there are some from the 1960s (these are usually from better areas such as French Southern and Antarctic Territories), loaded with complete sets cataloging up to several hundred dollars each, Europe is strongest (especially the Italian area), but all parts of the world are covered, incl. many Zeppelin sets incl. all of the German Zeppelin stamps (plus three Suidamerica stamps on one flown cover), also sprinkled throughout are some varieties and flown covers (often Zeppelin covers), there is some Mint N.H., majority are lightly hinged, overwhelmingly Fine-Very Fine, an outstanding basis on which to build a worldwide Air Post collection that is filled with highly saleable stamps, For complete scans (52.3mb) of this lot, go to http://www.siegelauctions.com/2014/1086/pdf/2856.pdf
