(1862) army field office datestamp on adversity cover made from a financial form, to Centreville Ala., tiny bit of rubbing in address, still fresh and Extremely Fine, Warrington was captured by Federal forces on May 10, 1862, the datestamp was taken and used by army field office until November 1862, this is an exceptionally choice example of the "roving" Warrington datestamp, ex Gibson (Image)

VERY FINE. A RARE AND BEAUTIFUL SOUND STRIP OF FIVE OF THE 2-CENT 1863 "RED JACK" PAYING THE 10-CENT RATE.

While strips of five can be found paying the 10c rate, they are often faulty to some degree. This sound strip is exceptionally fresh.
