Apr. 11" circular datestamp on mostly complete blue folded cover to Meadville Pa., 1851 docketing on back, Extremely Fine appearance, and now for the certification saga -- submitted to P.F. in 2000 as Brown Orange No. 1b, but certified as a sound Red Brown No. 1, then resubmitted to P.F. in 2007 as Ridgeway "Russet" shade of Red Brown, but this time certified as Orange Brown No. 1b "with a tiny hole at top of the second 'F' in 'Office'" -- in our opinion, it is an 1851 Brown Orange and there is a small hole as noted, but the more important aspect is the use of the black town datestamp to cancel the stamp -- ex Barwis (also noted as ex Gibson) (Image)
