3256 E Image5c Overrun Country, Large Die Frame Essay in Black (909E1 var.). 89 x 74mm die sunk on slightly reduced card (full die sinkage), this is the engraved frame only without a flag or country name, in production the flags and names were printed by rubber rotary process, the frame design by A. E. Foringer, engraved by Arthur C. Vogel, Extremely Fine, very rare with only two believed known to exist, this was featured in an Essay-Proof Journal article (Vol. 5, No. 2, April 1948) and given, at the time, a Brazer listing of 909E-C (Image)
