Five-volume collection balance from the Barnes estate, nearly all used to 1879, virtually all unused thereafter, the unused are nearly all original gum with some no gum or regummed, loaded with scarce issues, highlights include Nos. 1 (three), 2 (two, one is Double Transfer Ty. D with ms. cancel), 12-13, 16, 18, 23, 27-28, 31, 34, unused 30, 30A, 37-39, used 62B, 64, 70c (great color), 75, 79, 83-84 and others, 1869 Pictorial complete, Bank Note Grills nearly complete, other Large Bank Notes virtually complete, 1890 complete with strip of three No. 220c, Columbians complete with some additional multiples, 1894-98 Bureau Issues complete, Trans-Mississippi complete, 1902 to $2.00, lots of Washington-Franklin Issues with many better including coils, better blocks of four mixed in, essentially complete from 1917 to 1950, again with scarce stamps here and there (no Back-of-Book), this is an "old time" collection where condition factors were generally overlooked with more attention being paid to the surface appearance, nevertheless there is a great wealth of material to be found in this valuable collection in Fine-Very Fine condition or appearance
