Revenue Group Lots
Lot Sym. Lot Description
4547   First Issue Revenue Collection. Nearly complete collection balance from the Barnes estate, mounted in one volume, incl. singles, pairs and larger multiples and some varieties, this is an "old time" quality collection with questionable stamps here and there, especially among the Part Perforated, still lots of Fine collectible material to be found in this lot E. $ 3,000-4,000

SOLD for $4,750.00
Will close during Public Auction
4548 ng First Issue Revenue Perforated Collection. Complete less Nos. R21c, R31c, R99c and R102c, all appear unused except Nos. R14c, R39c and R49c, mounted on Scott Specialty pages with a couple of shades included, while we cannot guarantee all are unused, this seems to be the case judging from the strength of the colors of the stamps in the collection, there also may be a few flaws here and there, still overall Fine-Very Fine, it would be quite a challenge to duplicate this handsome lot, Scott Retail as "used"

4549   Revenue Accumulation. Many thousands of stamps in several cartons containing envelopes, stock books, collections, etc., vast majority First Issue Perforated, also Second and Third Issues complete less nos. R121 and R126, and many other duplicates, pretty fair showing of Dated Stocks and Docs (mostly in one collection) and Proprietary, quite a fair number of Match & Medicine with a few better, the First Issue focus seems to be on cancellations with unsorted accumulations to an eleven medium size three-ring binder collection of several hundred mounted one stamp to a page, generally with photocopy illustration of the cancel beneath each stamp, probably a dozen or so are ex Joyce, there are also First Issue Multiples and stamps on Documents and Photographs, while generally speaking, the stamps in this lot are inexpensive varieties, there are a lots of better medium values here and there and higher value material such as such as Nos. R21c (two), 81a, 82a, 97c and e, 98a, 100c, 101a and c and 102c (two), also $1.00 Imperfs, virtually all $5.00 and $10.00 Imperfs and a more than likely genuine R79a with small tear, an exciting lot for the revenue collector or dealer and a First Issue cancellation collector's dream, a massive sorting job, but lots of fun
