PHILIPPINES, 1907, 1c-$5.00, Bureau of Insular Affairs Special Printing (226 var, 228-240 var). Complete set of 14 stamps, single hinge mark on each, bright white paper typical of the B.I.A. Special Printing, vivid colors, 4c-8c reperfed

FINE-VERY FINE. A RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE ONE-CENT TO $5.00 1907 BUREAU OF INSULAR AFFAIRS SPECIAL PRINTING.

As discussed in a footnote in the Scott Catalogue, a set of the 1903-04 Issue was specially printed for the Bureau of Insular Affairs in 1907. They are on a brighter stock of paper than the regular issue.

Ex Todd and offered to the market for the first time since 1978. 1c-15c blue backstamp and 50c-$5.00 initialed in pencil "HHB". Each accompanied by 1980 P.F. certificate (only 4c and 8c called reperfed on certificates). (Image)
