1835 c ImagePrisoner-of-War Cover Balance. 12 covers, mostly involving Northern prisons, nice range incl. U.S.-C.S.A. mixed franking from Fort Delaware (heavy soiling), clear "Passed W.P. Wood Supt. Military Prison" handstamp on incoming cover to Old Capitol Prison in Washington D.C., cover to a prisoner at Point Lookout Md. with notation "Dead" marked upon arrival, Camp Chase cover with manuscript censor marking and three others with examined handstamps, two with Fort Delaware examined ovals, Elmira oval and Rock Island oval on two others, also a mixed franking cover noted as originating from Libby Prison in Richmond but the C.S.A. stamp does not originate, some flaws to be found but overall an interesting and worthwhile group (Image)
